Equipment Policies

  1. All VELA Purchased equipment and or Apparel shall be loaned to teams or members of team’s by VELA Executive appointed Equipment Manager

  2. Each year the Executive must provide a letter to the Equipment Manager stating that he or she has been appointed to represent the Association in regards to purchasing Equipment and Apparel on behalf of the Association. This letter is to be forwarded to all sports stores, embroiderers, and silk screeners in the local area.

  3. All equipment deemed to be the Association’s responsibility and is to be purchased for teams shall be purchased by VELA Executive appointed Equipment Manager.

  4. All VELA Equipment loaned to VELA Teams shall be the responsibility of that’s teams Head Coach and or Manager. All VELA Equipment is to be safely stored. If lost or stolen replaced by the Head Coach and or Manager of the team it was loaned to.

  5. All VELA Equipment loaned to individuals on VELA Teams shall be the responsibility of that individual. All VELA Equipment is to be safely stored. If lost or stolen replaced by that individual it was loaned to.

  6. VELA Jersey’s worn at BCLA Sanctioned games and or tournaments shall be purchased by VELA Executive appointed Equipment Manager and submitted to the VIML Commission for approval.

  7. All equipment purchased by VELA teams without prior written approval of the VELA Executive will be the financial and liable responsibility of the VELA team purchasing it.
